1. General

CompuTeam ("the System", "we") is a customer, team, and communication automation management system for businesses. This privacy policy applies to the use of the website, the management application, and its related services (together, the "Service"), and describes what data we collect, for what purpose, with whom it may be shared, and how the applicable rights over it can be exercised.

Use of the Service constitutes acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to the terms set out here, please refrain from using the Service and contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

2. Information we collect

We distinguish between two categories of information:

  • Information about System users (our teams): full name, email address, encrypted password, interface language, and team role/permissions. This information is collected when an account is created or when a member is added to a team by an admin.
  • Information about our customers' contacts ("end-user data"): name, phone number, email address, message content, attachments, tags, statuses, notes, and reminders entered by our customer's team to manage the conversation with their contacts. This information belongs to our customers (the teams' account owners), who act as the data "controller" with respect to their contacts — while we act as a "processor" on their behalf.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, activity logs, and basic usage data, used for operation, security, and troubleshooting.

3. How we use information

  • Operating the Service: conversation management, a shared inbox, automations, reminders, and appointments.
  • Identity verification and access-permission management within the team.
  • Technical support and responding to inquiries.
  • Improving the Service, troubleshooting, and preventing misuse.
  • Complying with legal and regulatory requirements, as required.

We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not use contacts' message content for advertising purposes.

4. Connecting communication channels (WhatsApp Business Platform, Telegram, email)

The Service allows teams to connect their communication accounts — including WhatsApp, via Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Graph API), as well as Telegram and email — to the System, in order to consolidate conversations in one place. When a channel is connected, connection details (such as tokens/access keys) are stored encrypted in our database, and are used solely to relay messages between the connected channel and the team's inbox.

The content of messages sent and received through these channels — including text, attachments, and sender/recipient details — is stored in the System to allow the team to view and manage the conversation history.

5. Sharing information with third parties

To provide the Service, information may pass through infrastructure providers ("sub-processors") acting on our behalf, depending on the channels and integrations each team chooses to enable:

Provider Information transferred When
Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform / Graph API) Message content, phone numbers, attachments For teams connecting a WhatsApp channel
Telegram Bot API Message content, user identifiers, attachments For teams connecting a Telegram channel
The team's configured SMTP provider Email addresses, message content For teams configuring email sending
Appointment-scheduling provider (if connected) Contact name, phone number, requested appointment time For teams connecting a calendar
Error-monitoring service Technical error messages (identifying information scrubbed where possible) For system stability monitoring, if enabled

In addition, the System allows teams to configure their own webhook connections or HTTP actions as part of the automation flows they build. In such cases, the team itself determines where the information is sent, and this action is not under our control. Teams enabling this capability are responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant privacy requirements.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, the rights of our users, or third parties.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as the account is active, and thereafter for a reasonable operational period (for example, for backups or legal requirements). Our customers (teams) may request deletion of a contact and all associated data (messages, files, tags, notes, appointments) — an action that permanently removes the information from our production systems.

A user who wishes to have their personal account removed from the System (not the team's data) may contact their team admin or reach out to us directly using the contact details below.

7. Data security

We employ reasonable, industry-standard security measures, including: encryption of sensitive information (such as communication-channel credentials) in the database, encrypted transport (HTTPS), permission-based access control within each team, and separation between different teams' data. That said, these measures do not guarantee absolute protection, and we cannot warrant the complete security of information transmitted over the internet.

8. Cookies

The Service's website and management application use cookies and/or browser local storage to maintain login state and basic display preferences. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising tracking.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including, where relevant, GDPR), you have the following rights regarding personal information about you:

  • The right to access information held about you.
  • The right to correct inaccurate or outdated information.
  • The right to request deletion of information ("the right to be forgotten"), subject to legal exceptions.
  • The right to object to or restrict certain processing of information.
  • The right to data portability, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in section 12.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use by business owners and their teams, and is not intended for use by minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page, along with the last-updated date shown at the top of the page. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
